Who are we?
SustainLab was founded in 2020 by professionals in sustainability and computer science. We are a group of diverse professionals with shared concerns about sustainability and environmental issues. We came together and invested our time and passion to help companies, the main contributors to the issues, to accelerate change for better business - better planet.
What will you contribute with?
As a Senior Developer at SustainLab, you will play a pivotal role in developing our sustainability software platform. You will work closely with a dynamic team of employees and contractors, using your expertise to build and enhance our cutting-edge solutions. Your deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience will drive the development process, ensuring the delivery of scalable and high-quality software that furthers our mission of promoting sustainable practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the company.

You are a passionate developer who cares about making an impact on sustainability and planetary issues. You thrive in a collaborative environment where every day presents new challenges. With significant experience in software development, particularly with Node.js, TypeScript, and Angular, you are comfortable working in a cloud environment like GCP. You enjoy mentoring others, working in diverse teams, and contributing to high-impact projects that make a difference in the world.
What will you do?
Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions as part of a diverse team of employees and contractors.
Collaborate with team members to define and implement technical solutions that align with our sustainability goals.
Ensure high code quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous integration practices.
Actively participate in the development process, from concept to deployment, with a strong focus on performance and reliability.
Mentor and guide junior developers and contractors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sustainability, Test and Architecture, to ensure that our software meets the needs of our users and our quality standard.
Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in software development and cloud computing.
What qualifications should you have?
5+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Angular.
Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proven ability to work in and contribute to a collaborative team environment, including mentoring and guiding junior developers.
Familiarity with technologies like BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and other GCP services is a plus.
Passion for sustainability and a desire to use your technical skills to make a positive impact.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Fluent in English. Swedish is a plus but not required.
